TRAINING PROGRAMMES
Sign Solutions offer thorough training programmes, focusing on the development of particular areas of professional practice, enabling Deaf and hearing professionals to gain qualifications and further Professional Development in BSL (Language) and Interpreting (BSL/English).
We encourage the development of new BSL and Interpreter training resources and aim to develop further programmes and opportunities which will encourage high standards in the field.

TRAINING METHODS
Sign Solutions provides training which employs a range of student-centred teaching and learning styles, i.e. lectures, workshops, open discussion forums, group/individual tutorials and reflective analysis.

Sign Solutions employs an experienced and highly regarded team of Deaf and hearing professionals to deliver training and assessment. Benchmarking is a regular feature of the team's practices, ensuring that consistent standards are adhered to.

DEAF INTERPRETERS
Sign Solutions offer training & assessment for Deaf people wishing to achieve nationally recognised qualifications in:
British Sign Language (NVQ4)
BSL/English Interpreting* (Sign Solutions accreditation)
Professional Deaf Relay Training
The standard of training and the accreditation of the BSL/English Interpreting programme will be equivalent to the NVQ4 BSL/English Interpreting Award. Applicants for the BSL/English Interpreting programme will need to demonstrate high levels of both English and BSL, and to attend an initial assessment.

INITIAL ASSESSMENT
Applicants will be required to attend an initial assessment for all NVQ4-level (or equivalent) programmes,
Sign Solutions are aware that potential students find such assessments stressful and therefore all efforts will be made to put applicants at their ease to enable potential to be identified. Details of the initial assessment will be provided to individuals as part of the application process.
