Level 1 BSL
Have you always wanted to learn British Sign Language and communicate with Deaf people? The Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language will help you develop the skills you need to do just that.
Level 2 BSL
This programme is open to candidates who have already achieved their Level 1 BSL qualification and wish to acquire language skills at an intermediate level, enhancing their communication with Deaf people. The qualification is divided into 3 units, and they involve 4 principal themes: Everyday Conversation; Eating and Drinking; Spending and Shopping; Travel and Holidays
Pre Level 3 BSL Training (BSL Language Development Course)
The programme is open to candidates who have already achieved their Level 2 BSL qualification but require additional tutoring and support prior to undertaking the Level 3 NVQ in the BSL Portfolio Programme.
The course is delivered using practical methods and a range of technology , including web cams and video cameras, with the aim of building confidence and fluency when using BSL.
NVQ 3 BSL Training (Portfolio building programme)
This NVQ3 BSL qualification has two units: a Production Unit and a Receptive Unit. This course will provide you with the support and guidance you need in order to build up a portfolio of written & video evidence demonstrating your ability to sign at BSL Level 3.
Level 6 BSL Training (Language Development)
The course will be delivered using a practical method covering a range of topics to help candidates develop their skills. Candidates will be required to use a range of technology such as web cams and video cameras in order to build up their confidence and fluency while using BSL.
